MARION, Ill. — A stretch of clear skies and climbing heat is settling in across Williamson County for the next several days, the National Weather Service says.
Tonight brings mostly clear skies and a low near 73 degrees. South winds will be light, around 5 miles per hour.
Monday looks sunny and hot, with highs near 95 degrees. South southwest winds will increase to 5 to 10 miles per hour. Monday night stays clear and mild, dropping to near 74 degrees.
Tuesday continues sunny and hotter, with highs near 97 degrees and light south southwest winds of 3 to 7 miles per hour. Wednesday pushes toward 98 degrees under full sun.
No weather threats are expected through Wednesday. If you're working outdoors in this heat, drink water and seek shade during the hot part of the day.
