MARION, Ill. — No storms on the horizon, and no surprises either. The National Weather Service is calling for a quiet, clear stretch across Williamson County through Saturday.
Tonight stays mostly clear, dropping to around 67 degrees with calm wind. Nothing to interrupt the cool-down from the day.
Thursday brings sunshine and a high near 89, with temperatures falling through the afternoon. North-northwest wind stays light, 0 to 9 mph. A pleasant day.
Friday follows the same pattern: sunny and slightly cooler, topping out at 88 under light north wind. Friday night clears off to mostly clear skies, low around 59.
Saturday rounds out the stretch at 90 degrees with full sun and barely a breeze—light southeast wind, 0 to 5 mph.
This is straightforward late-August weather. Clear skies, mild nights, calm wind. Nothing to worry about in the forecast. Keep the radio on out of habit—not habit born of fear.
