MARION, Ill. — Hot and sunny today. The National Weather Service calls for sunny skies across Williamson County, with a high near 90 degrees this afternoon. Winds stay light from the north northeast, 3 to 8 mph.
Tonight remains mostly clear, low around 68, with light north northeast winds around 3 mph.
Thursday continues sunny, high near 89, with light east northeast winds of 1 to 7 mph. Thursday night turns partly cloudy, low around 67 and calm winds.
Friday brings a slight chance of rain showers between 1 and 4 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. The National Weather Service puts the probability at 20 percent. High near 89.
Nothing threatening through Friday for Marion, Herrin, and Carterville.
