Scattered showers return Thursday; tonight stays calm and mild

MARION, Ill.— Tonight stays mostly cloudy and mild, with a low around 70. Light south winds under 1 mph will keep things calm.
Thursday brings scattered shower and thunderstorm chances—between 7 and 10 a.m., again from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and once more from 1 to 5 p.m.—with a 40 percent chance of precipitation, according to the National Weather Service. Highs will reach near 84 with partly sunny skies and south-southwest winds of 1 to 5 mph.
Thursday night, showers and thunderstorms could develop after 8 p.m., with a 40 percent chance of precipitation and lows near 72.
Nothing dangerous is expected. If Thursday plans take you outside, monitor the radar, but no severe threat looms.
