Williamson County Board Weighs Future of Vehicle Leases
Pandemic-era leases on county vehicles are nearing their end
By Verna Slate, Williamson County Bureau
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. — Williamson County commissioners are taking a fresh look at whether leasing county vehicles remains the best financial option, according to the Southern Illinoisan.
The review comes as the first leases the county signed during the COVID-19 pandemic near their expiration.
That's the whole of it, for now. No meeting date, no vote, no dollar figures, no options have been made public. The American Times will file a fuller account when the county board puts numbers on the table.
