TWIN FALLS, Idaho — A Saturday evening rush at a new In-N-Out Burger turned into a crime scene when a gunman opened fire near the restaurant, killing at least three people, including himself, and wounding two others, authorities said.
A city spokesperson in Twin Falls confirmed the shooting was treated as an "active shooter incident" before police declared the suspect "no longer a threat." The local police chief called it a "very chaotic scene" at what he described as one of the busiest In-N-Out locations in all of Southern Idaho, according to the Los Angeles Times.
A spokesman for the city cautioned Saturday night that the number of confirmed victims was "expected to be higher," though as of this writing three deaths — including the shooter — and two injuries had been confirmed by multiple outlets, including NBC News and CBS News.
