MARION — Pull up a flight search from Williamson County Regional Airport to Chicago and you might reach for the smelling salts. But airport director Doug Kimmel says don't believe everything a booking screen tells you.
Kimmel told the Southern Illinoisan that the high fares travelers are seeing listed for American Airlines flights out of Marion do not reflect what tickets are actually expected to cost.
No further detail on why the listings run high, or when that might change, was included in the available reporting. For now, the word from the airport office is simple: a bad quote on a screen isn't the last word on what a ticket out of Marion will actually cost.
