CARTERVILLE, Ill. — Two men are behind bars after the Williamson County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a Carterville residence Friday, part of a methamphetamine investigation, according to the Southern Illinoisan.
Carterville has spent years building a name as a quiet college town, home to John A. Logan College and a growing residential base. But the meth trade doesn't respect town limits or reputations, and the sheriff's office says this search was the result of an ongoing investigation, not a one-off tip.
