Saturday Storms, Then Heat in Williamson County
Morning showers clear before late morning; temperatures climb toward 98 Monday

MARION, Ill. — Showers and thunderstorms will most likely pass through Marion and Williamson County before 11 a.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service says. Only a slight chance of showers or storms between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., with partly sunny skies taking over. High near 86 degrees, with temperatures falling to around 84 by afternoon. South winds will remain light, 0 to 5 mph. Overall chance of precipitation: 50 percent.
Saturday night: Partly cloudy, low around 72. A 20 percent chance of showers or storms is possible between 7 and 9 p.m.
Sunday the pattern shifts noticeably: partly sunny and warming to 94 degrees. The heat continues to build Monday, when sunny skies and a high near 98 degrees are expected. Winds remain light through both days.
