MARION, Ill. — The Marcus Moultrie murder case is moving toward an October trial date, with more than 600 discovery items now turned over to defense attorneys, the Southern Illinoisan reports.
The volume of material — statements, evidence, records compiled by prosecutors — signals a case that has taken time to build and will take real courtroom hours to try. The American Times will follow the case as it approaches trial.
