MARION — Mark it on the calendar next to the turkey leftovers: Marion's holiday parade rings in the season on Nov. 30, according to the Southern Illinoisan.
Details on the route and lineup weren't included in early reporting, but the date is set. For a county that's buried plenty of coal camps and closed plenty of storefronts over the last century, a parade that still draws families to the curb in the cold is worth noting — proof the town still knows how to throw itself a party.
This bureau will have route and schedule details as they're released.
