MARION, Ill. — Marion picked up its first volleyball win of the season with a two-set sweep, 25-17 and 25-17, over Anna-Jonesboro Tuesday night, according to the Southern Illinoisan.
A clean two-set win to open the account is the kind of result a program wants on the board early, and the Wildcats got it in straight sets without needing a third to settle things.
The Southern Illinoisan did not report individual stat leaders from the match in what was made available to this bureau. Marion will look to build on the win as the season moves into conference play.
