MARION — For Marion High School volleyball coach Brandy Mieldezis, the win over the Terriers was much more like it — the Wildcat team she had expected to see all season long, according to the Southern Illinoisan.
After weeks of building toward that identity, Marion turned up the intensity and got the result to match, the paper reported. It's the kind of statement win a program needs early in the season to set the tone for the stretch run — proof that the pieces the coach has been assembling are starting to click together on the court.
