Marion VA Names Fred Roché as New Executive Director
The Department of Veterans Affairs announces new leadership for the regional health system

MARION, Ill. — The Marion VA Health Care System has a new man at the top.
The Department of Veterans Affairs has appointed Fred Roché as executive director of the Marion VA Health Care System, the Southern Illinoisan reported.
The Marion VA serves veterans across a wide swath of southern Illinois, a region that has sent generations of its sons and daughters to war and depends on that hospital to keep its word when they come home. Leadership changes at institutions like this one aren't just personnel news — they're a signal of what veterans here can expect from the system meant to serve them.
The American Times will follow Roché's tenure as it develops.
