MARION — Every two years, a delegation from Kanie Town, Japan, crosses an ocean to walk Marion's streets, and this weekend they're back, according to the Southern Illinoisan.
The biennial visit is part of the Sister City relationship the two towns have kept up for years. The paper reported the visitors are making their trip to Marion this weekend as part of that relationship.
There's not much more to say about it than that — a friendship kept alive across an ocean, one visit every two years, and this is the year it's Marion's turn to host.
