Marion edges Harrisburg in preseason scrimmage
Wildcats get an early look before the regular season kicks off

MARION, Ill. — The Marion Wildcats edged Harrisburg in a preseason football scrimmage, according to the Southern Illinoisan and MaxPreps, which also previewed the Wildcats' upcoming matchup against Cahokia.
Preseason scrimmages don't count in the standings, but around here they count for something else — a first read on who's ready to carry the load when the games start mattering. Marion fans will get their first real test soon enough against Cahokia.
