CARTERVILLE — Libraries across Southern Illinois — and one college — are joining forces this September and October for the region's National Endowment for the Arts Big Read, centered on "Harriet Tubman: The Road to Freedom," the Southern Illinoisan reports.
The partnership pairs local libraries with a nonprofit to run community events built around the book throughout the fall, according to the Southern Illinoisan. WPSD Local 6 also reported on the regional push.
Exact event dates and library locations were not detailed in available reporting; residents are encouraged to watch for announcements from participating branches through October.
