Herrin Chamber Launches Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive
Chamber asks residents to help students gear up for the new year

HERRIN, Ill. — The Herrin Chamber of Commerce is asking residents to help local students prepare for the new school year by donating school supplies, clothing, and other essentials during its Stuff the Bus donation drive this weekend, according to the Southern Illinoisan.
This is old-fashioned neighbor-helping-neighbor work. A new backpack or a pack of pencils doesn't fix what a family's up against, but it takes one thing off the list before the first bell rings.
The Chamber did not specify individual drop-off locations in initial reporting, but organizers are encouraging community members to participate this weekend.
