MARION, Ill. — The Williamson County Board has a new commissioner. Gentry has conceded the race to Rasor, according to the Southern Illinoisan's election coverage.
County board seats don't draw the headlines a governor's race does, but they decide the budget, the road fund, and who signs off on the courthouse's daily business. A concession here means the gavel — and the arguments over it — pass to someone new.
