MARION, Ill. — Williamson County has a new man behind the sheriff's star. Diederich was sworn in as sheriff of Williamson County, according to WPSD Local 6.
The oath marks a change at the top of a department that patrols the whole county — rural roads, wanted-persons cases, and the county jail all fall under the sheriff's watch.
