Canberra — not Sydney or Melbourne, despite them being Australia's bigger, more famous cities.
Prague, Czech Republic.
Ottawa — not Toronto, which many people assume is Canada's capital.
The connection: Two of these capitals — Canberra and Ottawa — are not their country's largest or most internationally famous city (Sydney, not Canberra, is Australia's biggest; Toronto dwarfs Ottawa). Prague, by contrast, is the Czech Republic's largest city, rounding out the set as a reminder that capitals don't follow one rule. Editor's note: an earlier version of this quiz incorrectly included Kampala, Uganda, as an example of a capital that isn't its country's largest city. Kampala is in fact Uganda's largest city, and the item has been removed.
