MARION — A correction is due on the recent opening of Firehouse Subs in Marion. An earlier story identified Chris Banks as the franchise owner. He is not. Rodney and Marta Smith own the franchise; Banks is involved in the restaurant's operations, according to the Southern Illinoisan.
The record matters, especially for a new small business finding its footing on a busy Marion retail corridor. This bureau regrets the error and is glad to set it straight for the Smiths, and for Banks.
