Carrot Top Booked for Marion Civic Center in 2027
Comedy icon's stop part of Dunbar Music Group's 10th anniversary run

MARION — Mark the calendar early: Carrot Top is coming to the Marion Cultural and Civic Center, and the date is nearly two years out.
The prop comic will perform May 19, 2027, at the civic center as part of Dunbar Music Group's 10th anniversary, the Southern Illinoisan reports.
It's the kind of booking that says something about what the civic center has become since it opened — a stop on the circuit for national acts that once would have passed Williamson County by on their way to St. Louis or Nashville. For a county that built its identity on coal and courtrooms, a marquee with a comedian's name on it two years out is its own small sign of what the local economy is betting on now.
No ticket details were included in the initial announcement. The Marion Cultural and Civic Center has become the region's go-to venue for touring acts in recent seasons.
