CAMBRIA — The Cambria Village Board has decided not to release police bodycam footage from an Oct. 16 incident, according to a report from the Daily Egyptian.
That's a decision small boards make all the time, and it's one this bureau has seen before in Williamson County towns — a choice that answers a public-records question by simply not answering it.
No further detail on the underlying incident, or the board's stated reasoning, was included in the available report. This bureau will keep pressing for the footage and for an explanation of why trustees decided the public didn't need to see it.
