HERRIN, Ill. — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois has awarded a grant to Herrin House of Hope, a Herrin-based organization that supports neighbors in need, according to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois.
Details on how the money will be spent were not specified in the announcement. But a grant that backs an organization built to help people who come up short is not a small thing in this county. It's the difference between somebody getting help this week or not.
The American Times will follow up on how the funds are put to use.
