Anthropic Rolls Out Free Claude Chatbot Built for K-12 Teachers
Claude for Teachers offers lesson-planning tools as U.S. schools embrace AI

Anthropic on Tuesday launched a free version of its Claude chatbot built specifically for teachers, the company said, as a growing number of educators turn to artificial intelligence tools in the classroom, according to The Hill.
The new platform, called Claude for Teachers, gives K-12 teachers across the United States access to a library of teaching skills along with direct support for classroom tasks, the company said in a release cited by The Hill.
The launch comes as schools nationwide grapple with how to integrate AI responsibly, weighing tools that can save teachers time on lesson planning and grading against concerns about accuracy and appropriate use. Offering the platform for free lowers the barrier for school districts to bring AI tools into classrooms where teachers and students are already experimenting with chatbots on their own.
